Who We Are
Jungle Folk emerged from the idea to offer high quality, timeless and sustainable clothing for women. We create classic pieces that are wearable and combinable in various ways for every occasion.
The brand was born during a trip through Latin America, inspired by beautiful landscapes and the people's knowledge of ancient techniques. The designer Pauline Treis started to develop the brand with a community of urban and rural artisans in 2013. Working with Jungle Folk enables artisans to be sustainable, increases their incomes and improves their skills. Jungle Folk only uses sustainable and certified materials such as organic cotton, linen, silk and wool for the clothing and recycled and natural materials for accessories.
Jungle Folk is a clothing line that doesn’t go with the trend of launching multiple seasonal collections every year. We see sustainability in the longevity and quality of a design and present a carefully designed line of wardrobe classics. We don't work along the "normal" fashion calendar and with the trends that change every season.
Our brand delivers clothes to wear and love forever!
Pauline Marie Treis is the creative head behind the brand.
Born in Munich, Germany she mostly grew up in Switzerland. Travels before and during her studies in International Relation in Geneva brought her closer to issues of sustainable development, conscious global trading and the beauty of diversity found in traditional craft work in different parts of our world. After her studies she decided to follow her dream to merge her passion for craft, creativity and arts with a sustainable and social project. She is now mostly based in Zurich, Switzerland and still travels multiple times a year – for inspiration and to Colombia and Peru to develop and produce new ideas and designs.
