Illaturas is an invitation to explore inner territories, such as the universe of desires, dreams, and deep intuitions. To recover the sense of the small, of rituality, of the creative force that has moved through miniatures since pre-Inca times.
🗓️ Date: Tuesday, 21 October 2025 / ⏰ Time: 6.30 - 9 pm /📍 Location: Jungle Folk Studio, Sihlquai 55, Zürich
All levels welcome. Materials included. CHF 69 (55 for students, Kultur-Legi).
👉 To get your ticket please write an email to contact@junglefolk.com.
The event will consist of two main parts and an exhibition:
- Talk: Presentation of the Illaturas project, exploring the symbolism of miniatures, the collaborative process with artisans, and the importance of material and emotional memory.
- Collective Embroidery Table: An open, free-flowing session where participants can create their own miniature in a shared space.
- Exhibition: Sol Marinucci will bring the Illaturas Exhibition to this event: A traveling exhibition of miniatures created in diverse techniques — embroidery, ceramics, jewelry, wood, metal and more — through the collaborative process of the project. The collection includes around 108 pieces from Argentina, Bolivia and Mexico, accompanied by the Periodiquito Illaturas zine. The publication will be available for purchase, together with an embroidered miniature created by the artisans of Flor de Altea.
